Did you know that real estate development is a small but growing part of Spectrum’s three core business areas? The other two are Facilities Management and Construction Management.

As part of a group of DC-based real estate developers, Spectrum helped build a luxurious affordable high rise apartment building called Capitol Vista in the heart of the bustling Mount Vernon neighborhood. The building was completed in November 2020 and is located on the corner of 2nd and H Street NW, accessible to many of the city’s main attractions.

The apartments were designed for working Washingtonians and sit off the Metro’s Red Line. The interior designer who outfitted the building focused on making the space feel inspiring, hopeful, and elevated. Not surprisingly, the pandemic altered the building’s grand opening last November. It was virtual and included just a small group of community leaders and members. A local DC news station featured the project in its reporting last month.
